Corruption has grown to very advanced stage in Nigeria. It has hindered socio – political and economic growth of Nigeria. Corruption is the negative act of dishonesty. It is a clear and known fact that for Nigeria to be great,Some he-goat must be cleared, corruption must stop. Many have conducted campaigns and seminars that corruption must be stopped and reduced. Why is it not reducing? Little do we know that stopping corruption starts from controlling ourselves and correcting ourselves, whenever any act of corruption is committed.

The moment children commits crimes, if not corrected, it might lead to big acts of corruption in the future. That is the more reason why we must start correcting our children/youths so that when they become leaders, th -ey will not corrupt the nation. But nowadays, parents pamper their children. They do not correct them when necessary, an act that is not only bad but can make their children to be socially maladjusted.
An adage says, “spare the rod and spoil the child” if the rod is spared, corruption will continue in our nation. Let us all learn to impute acts of honesty in ourselves and our children. We should cultivate the act of reporting anybody caught in corrupt acts so that it will serve as deterrent to others.
Also, we should learn to avoid corruption and corrupt people because the Bible says that he that sees evil and does not run away is equally evil and also whosoever soweth the spirit shall of the spirit real life everlasting and whoever soweth flesh reaps corruption. Youth should never join bad friends to commit evil so that they will not have influence on them.
If we join hands to fight corruption, a great future awaits Nigeria and Nigeria will cease to be one of the corrupt countries in the world.
